Novomoskovsk is one of the most comfortable and most dynamically developing Russian cities with a rich history.The great river Don takes its source in the city center. In Novomoskovsk surprisingly long-standing cultural heritage is intertwined with active industrial development. The city has developed chemical, energy and food industry, construction, railway and road transport though there is up to 300 sq.m. of green spaces on each inhabitant. Drama Theatre in Novomoskovsk works for over half a century, also there are various museums such as "History and Art Museum of Novomoskovsk" and its divisions Archaeological Museum, Museum of  the village Spasskoe history which interesting exhibits please visitors. Also pay attention to the artistic salon, more than two dozen clubs and houses of culture, children's railway. Landscaped urban parks serve as an excellent place for relax and strolls. Therefore, trere aren't such issues as spending leisure time becouse all conditions for it are created. 

Among educational institutions Novomoskovsk Institute of Chemical Technology University, seven vocational schools, three vocational college, school of arts, art and music schools, medical and music colleges have leading places.
